Plast Scouts in Ukraine rely heavily on rugged pickup trucks and SUVs to move around the country, often on uneven and damaged roads. Scouts in Lviv need three utility vehicles to add to their current fleet, so they can continue to provide the support Ukraine needs.
Plast Lviv is a central hub for much of the donated humanitarian aid sent from the US and Europe, including medical equipment, firefighting gear, and pocket First Aid kits. Scouts load these items onto utility vehicles and distribute them to other Plast scouting hubs deeper in the country or directly to regions that need them the most. These vehicles are also used to transport refugees who are trying to find safety.
For the month of February, Plast USA and Scouts for Ukraine are collecting funds to help purchase three much-needed vehicles. Fellow scout mechanics in Ukraine will source and inspect pickups and SUVs from Ukraine or Europe, saving on time and shipping costs.
